R.A.K. Week 2/17 – 2/22

Heather Lankford and her son, Maklin teamed up with Angello’s Scoops of Salisbury to spread some kindness by offering KINDNESS BALLOONS to the first 15 people who purchase ice cream. Who doesn’t love ice cream and balloons? Swing by Angello’s Scoops at 100 E. Main St. in Salisbury, MD for a sweet treat and a pick me up today! Maklin, age 5, donated all of the balloons that he’s been collecting for this amazing act of kindness. How beautiful!!!

Emmanuel Wesleyan Church ladies ministry was busy spreading love at the Laundromat during Random Acts of Kindness week. They helped fold laundry and give out quarters for laundry. What a blessing!

The Salisbury Jaycees believe in the importance of kindness in our community! They are challenging YOU to do the same! When you pay kindness forward snap a pic! Share a story! And most important tag them! #sbyjcrak  and #kindSBY We would love to hear about what you did to make our community even better!

Today, a staff member of Housing First, walked down to Olde Towne Cafe to pick up a breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee.

In return, she was handed these gifts cards, from Vicente, for their homeless clients who are hungry. He gave them at his own expense, which was so generous!

Stop by Olde Towne Cafe today. They are a small business that supports this community in a big way!

Kindness is all around today at Salisbury Middle School!!! Staff and students wore kindness shirts and hoodies (along with green and yellow) to sprinkle kindness around like confetti. Kindness club members were also helping with their canned food drive. Please spread kindness to our community by sending in non-perishable goods, now through Wednesday, the 26th!

Salisbury Jaycees President & Kindness Commissioners, D’Shawn Doughty, Olde Towne Cafe Owner, Vincente Leonardo Hernandez, and Kindness Commissioner, Martin Hutchinson enjoyed visiting with Girl Scout Troop 383 🍪 this evening! They were spreading kindness and discussing ending bullying in our schools! 🌻❤️

The ripple continues…

The kindness continues at Olde Towne Cafe!!!! Gillis Gilkerson is keeping the ripple going…on February 21st, they bought breakfast for the George & Lynch, Inc. workers and for our friends downtown Green Street Housing, LLC and ApartmentSmart.com. This is amazing!!!

Then, Olde Towne Cafe received a random CashApp to buy lunch for the next person who walked in. Turns out the next person was a group of Firefighters!!!

We’re excited to see how long this continues!!!!!! 🤭
