On March 30th, PRMC Diagnostic Radiology received 2 meals from Tommy Burdett #theracingrealtor, with breakfast from the Acorn market and lunch from Jimmy John’s. What a blessing! It’s nice see the love and support going out to our First Responders during this crisis.
Salisbury University Dining Services is helping those in need during the COVID-19 crisis by donating perishable items from it’s dining hall.
Due to classes being moved online throughout the rest of the spring semester, their Commons dining hall is closed. They had already ordered food to continue serving the campus community on a limited basis, and while they were able to store some of the food, their perishable items would expire before they could be used.
Dining Services sent a big truckload of food items to the Christian Shelter in Salisbury. Their donations included yogurt, snack food, greens and salad vegetables, salad dressings, fruit, fresh vegetables, sandwich bread, eggs and approximately 30 gallons of milk—with a total estimated value of $3,500.
A bulk of the donations were kept by the shelter, but were also shared by the Christian Shelter with the Diakonia Shelter in Ocean City, Visions of Mercy and several others.
Way to go Salisbury University!!!!
