Sowing seeds for change

The Staff of Choices Academy worked alongside community partner and Salisbury Secretary of Community Gardens Martin Hutchison to begin construction of a greenhouse in which students will grow vegetables starting this fall. The greenhouse is the first of its kind at a Wicomico school, and the project received generous support from the Camden Community Garden and the Church of the Brethren. Choices students will get the experience of growing and eating fresh vegetables, and food services staff is ready to help with preparing fresh vegetables to serve in the lunchroom. What a fantastic outdoor classroom!
